Loan Processor/Collector

The ideal candidate will possess exceptional communication, customer service, and analytic skills and be comfortable taking loan applications in person or over the phone.

The Loan Officer is responsible for gathering and analyzing applicant information, reviewing credit histories, making appropriate lending decisions, recommending complementing products and services, and providing overall education and assistance to our members.

Build lifetime quality financial relationships with each member by providing competitive products and excellent service.

  • Communicate loan decisions to members and arrange immediate payout
  • Schedule loan closings
  • Verify accuracy of application information and compile documents needed for loan to proceed to disbursement
  • Receive new loan applications via the telephone
  • Provide accurate loan information to the member and auto dealers via outbound calls and/or email
  • Receive and service inbound member loans calls
  • Cross sell other products and services

Loan Responsibilities:

  • Provide high level of customer service when communicating with members as well as internal departments
  • Communicate lending decision post loan approval and explain required documentation needed for payout
  • Act as the liaison between the loan officer and member to communicate the loan decision or ask for additional information
  • Obtain and verify accuracy of all required closing documentation
  • Analyze the loans to determine repayment and interest schedules based upon loan guidelines and rates and communicate them to member
  • Coordinate loan closings and maintain loan closing schedule. Assist the member with setting up a loan closing within the back office, at a local branch or by another closing channel
  • Perform in a high call volume environment
  • Initiate outbound loan calls in accordance with departmental goals and established productivity levels while meeting standards for quality
  • During the loan process, the member will be interviewed in regards to their loan request and any credit bureau discrepancies prior to submitting the loan for a credit decision
  • Calculate loan payments and interest calculations upon the member’s request
  • Prepare denial and approval notices as needed
  • Advise management of any unusual loan inquiries or activity
  • Answer member questions about their credit report
  • Follow upon sales leads
  • Cross sell credit insurance and other Credit Union products and services
  • Provide accurate information about credit union policies, procedures, and services
  • Communicate loan volumes and contacts daily to direct report
  • Process Home Equity Applications
Perform other related duties as requested

- Part Hicksville and Hillside, Monday to Friday. We are seeking a qualified candidate with primary responsibilities which will include processing deposits consisting of cash and checks; completing withdrawals, balancing cash drawer daily and transfer requests. Will need to perform well under pressure and work well independently as well as in group settings. We are looking for someone who is energetic and is also comfortable with public speaking in front of groups. Candidates should demonstrate excellent customer service, cash handling experience, solid computer skills and ability to multi-task.

We offer a competitive salary $22,800 to $29.120
No nights or weekends.
Part Time Hours:

8:15AM to 3:45PM
7:15AM to 2:45PM

Monday to Friday:
10AM to 2PM
